Project Work @ RC: Alberta Ceding Study: Discovering a way to find State Farm’s ideal 4% of policies that can be grouped into a Risk Sharing Pool.  Large Loss Project: Developing the distribution of losses for the entire U.S. and then finding the appropriate threshold. The threshold is a number that determines if a loss is a large loss or not.

What brought you to the RC? Since the RC is so close to the U of I, I can go to school while having an internship.

Best thing about working at the RC: Actually working on meaningful and real projects that help State Farm in some shape or form. Also, the employees are very respectful and are always willing to help you.

Most surprising thing you’ve learned about State Farm: It is the top auto insurer in Illinois and in the whole U.S.
